Coronavirus and Health

Coronaviruses are a type of virus. There are many kinds, and some can cause disease. A newly identified type that started in China has caused a recent outbreak of respiratory. They cause illnesses that can range from a common cold to more diseases. Some coronaviruses transmit between animals and people, some other transmit between animals and others from people to people.

The virus is most likely to spread through:

  • Contact with droplets from an infected person’s sneeze or cough.
  • Touching objects or surfaces that have cough or sneeze droplets from an infected person.
  • Close contact with an infectious person.

Human-to-human transmission has been confirmed for the Wuhan coronavirus, but experts are trying to understand who is transmitting it most, who is at most risk and whether the transmission is occurring mostly in the community or in the hospitals.

What are the symptoms of a coronavirus?

Coronavirus infections are common and usually lead to the common cold. Gastrointestinal disease is possible for young infants. Symptoms can usually include:

  • Runny nose
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • A general feeling of being unwell

Is there any coronavirus treatment?

There is no specific treatment, but research is continuing. Most of the time, coronavirus symptoms will go away on their own and experts advice seeking care early. If symptoms feel worse than a standard cold, experts advise seeing a doctor. Drink plenty of fluids, sleep and get rest as much as possible. Consult your health care provider as soon as possible, if you are concerned about your symptoms or have traveled the last 14 days to a region where severe coronaviruses are known to occur. The sooner you get treatment, the quicker and better are your chances for recovery.

Preventing coronavirus.

There is not yet a vaccine to protect against this family of viruses. The US National Institutes of Health is working on a vaccine against the new virus and it might take months until clinical trials get underway and more than a year until it might become available. By avoiding people who are sick, you may be able to reduce your risk of infection. Try avoiding contact with your face, nose, eyes, and mouth. Wash your hands often with water and soap for at least 30 seconds.

IBX Services as part of coronavirus fight.

We at IBX Services think about clients more than anyone. IBX Services comes with treatments and cleaning solutions for areas that have too much dust, pollen, mouse droppings and even areas affected by viruses.  With our treatment with ultra-low volume micrologic, the main purpose of the pesticide application technique is to cover the target with maximum efficiency and minimum efforts to keep the pest under control as well as minimum contamination of non-targets.

You can start by cleaning your carpet professionally by vacuuming. Don’t forget to have your carpet professionally cleaned every 6 to 12 months and more often if you want to be safe from new viruses or allergies.

You would not believe in what danger your health could be because of your air duct system. Dust, pollen, mouse droppings, animal dander, dust mites, mold, bacteria, and even viruses will be found inside your air duct system. Allergists, physicians specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of allergies, commonly prescribe home air duct cleaning as a solution.

Clean all furniture that are made of leather with custom cleaning techniques and procedures that minimize problems before they arise. Prevent or minimize dust, allergies, and viruses on leather furniture by having it cleaned and moisturized every 2 years as most manufacturers of leather furniture recommend.

As the years pass, your tile becomes saturated with contaminants and dirt. This causes the grout to turn a darker color, while your tiles lose a lot of its original shine. Using a heated solution, our Tile Cleaning and Grout Cleaning team will loosen and extract contaminants and dirt hiding on the surface of and within your countertops, floors, and showers. Combine this solution with vacuum power, followed by a high-pressure rinse, and you have gone where most household cleaners simply cannot go!

Due to the potential survival of the virus in the environment for several days, the premises and areas potentially contaminated with coronavirus should be cleaned before their re-use, using products containing antimicrobial agents known to be effective against coronaviruses. Although there is a lack of specific evidence for their effectiveness against coronavirus, cleaning with water and household detergents and the use of common disinfectant products should be sufficient for general precautionary cleaning. Several antimicrobial agents have been tested against different types of coronaviruses. Some of the active ingredients, e.g. ethanol and sodium hypochlorite are widely available in nonhealthcare and non-laboratory settings.

If you think that your health is at risk contact us to get a quote for disinfecting the area that you spend most of your time. IBX Services team will make sure that every cleaning service in your area is done properly and your health will be safe.
